- joebedfordNomad IIWe ride summer: north and winter: south.
- dedmistonModeratorWe wimp out when it gets too hot. We've tried going to other areas in the summer months and had some good times, but nothing beats the open areas where we ride Nov-May every year.
We had a great time up at Shaver Lake three summers ago, but it's sure a lot of work to get up there. And once you get there, there's a limited number of trails to ride and a lot of them were still blocked from trees that fell over the winter. We were rookies to the area, but I figured the trails would be in better shape by Fourth of July weekend.
The weather is already nice enough to ride now, but we're booked every weekend. I try to start early every year, but it looks like Veterans Day weekend will be our kickoff again this year just like every other year.
