Just Purchased 2006 Rage'N M-2600 FS Have Questions

Last week we purchased a 2006 Rage'n 2600FS and are still trying to work out the kinks....

Went camping this weekend with weather in the low 20's and found out the heat was not working.

Propane was full... Any suggestions?

Also,

The pump for the fuel center is not working.

Other than that, the TH is in immaculate condition. It was rarely used and we are very impressed with it.
  • Regarding the furnace... Was the battery fully charged? The furnace fan works on 12vdc. If it's low, the fan won't come on. If the fan doesn't come on, it won't light.
  • Unscrew the 4 screws holding the furnace plate on, there is a switch, make sure it is in the 'on' or 'reset' position.
Was the fan running but just not igniting?
Make sure you have propane in your tank. Turn on the stove until you can light it, this takes about 30-seconds for the propane to reach.
Also, there is a metal switch on the frame rail behind the battery, make sure it is pulled out to the 'on' position. This is the battery cutoff switch.
Go on your roof and make sure the seam between the front cap and the roof doesn't have a gap. WW and Ragen' are notorious for this and then you get rot :-(
    Post a pic :-)
  • We are aware of the battery disconnect & both propane tanks were filled just the week before, fan was blowing just not hot.... but we use it every weekend so we need the heat. Luckily we were camping close to home so I just had my 16 yr old bring me our elec heater. Closest Rv dealer is 30 miles away and I hate to take it just to have them charge me 160.00 dollars to flip a switch or something that we may be over looking...
  • I must say though its very much a step up from our 1999 25ft Jayco......I'm very happy with it. Does anyone know if it is part of all the WW problems I've been reading about? I know Rage'n was bought by WW. Just didn't know if I need to be looking for anything. We pull with F-350 dually diesel. Unfortunatly the info in Rage'n is sparse or so I've seen

As for the fuel pump... Mine quit working during a 2 week hunting trip this fall. I had read on another forum to remove the plastic impellers and "polish" or in my case "sand" one side of the impellers and reassemble. These plastic impellers will swell and rub on the housing preventing them from turning. Just a couple of passes on some 220 emery cloth should take care of the issue. That is of course assuming the motor turns with the impellers removed. The hardest part was to reinstall the pump into its original position. My shoulders just don't work the way they use to. Good luck!
  • If you hear the ignitor clicking but it's not lighting then there's all kinds of things you can try.
That furnace is pretty common, and if you search the forum you'll get lots of fixes.
I know WW bought Ragen' at some point around 05 or so and everyone says the quality went down after.
These frames were not part of that fiasco.
I have an 06 as well and the quality is average for a toyhauler of that period. They just slap them together.
I've fixed or reverse engineered and corrected so many things I can't remember them all.
If you want a real treat, take the panel off behind where the stereo is in the TV area :-) Have fun !
You got a pic of that thing ?
  • Loose wire on the thermostat!! We are good to go!

    Btw,
First thing Hubby did was take the back panel off the Command Center... His biggest complaint is no AUX imput on the CD player. That will be the first thing that gets replaced.

I did a little more research and I am thinking we have an 2600 FS wide body
Is there any way to be sure what we really have?
  • If it measures 102 in. on the outside and about 96 in. wall to wall inside it is a wide body.
