Just purchased my first hauler a 2006 WW

Hey guys. I'm new to the forums! Just purchased a 2006 weekend warrior 3305 LE billet edition. I'm super excited about it. It was a repo and will need some serious TLC for me to bring it back to life. I will have a lot of questions for all of you guys during this restoration. First one. This thing has been sitting for at least 2 years. I want to attempt to start the generator tomorrow when I get two new batteries. How should I go about doing it with it sitting this long? Try to drain the fuel? I have two fuel fill up spots on the outside for gas... What are they both for?

Check the roof out as well. If the caulking isn't checked often, it will crack and let water in as well.

I have the same year trailer, mine is just a tad longer.

Have you had any issues with wood rot in yours?

No, but I bought my trailer brand new and it has been under covered parking since day 1 of me bringing it home.
I also check and reseal anything 2X per year, roof, sides etc. I am very anal about that stuff.
I run my genny, under load, 30 min per month when I am not using it.
I do wheel bearings/seals and grease the suspension every year.
Genny oil/filter and air filter gets changed out every year.

  • Yes there is some rotten wood up front. Partly the reason I got it for so cheap. I was planning on ripping the entire front room out, and taking the whole cap off the front and replacing all of the rotten wood. Looks like it won't cost me that much on materials just gonna be time consuming.

Have you guys had any luck with removing the carb, soaking in carb cleaning, blowing through with compressed air? I imagine it's a pretty tiny carb...
Is there a drain on the fuel tanks underneath or do I have to pump the gas out?

You can disconnect the bottom of the fill hoses.
    That will drain it quick.
  • It looks like it sat outside with no ladder on the front. Unless someone filled the holes up with silicon, there is water under your front cap.
Hard to tell from the pix, but if there is any waviness or "bubble" looking areas, that is rotten wood underneath there.

Look around carefully on the inside, if there are any brown streaks, or soft spots, water has gotten inside.

    Where are you located?
If in California, probably worth the trip and money to take it to Jim Goodwin. VIP RV Service. Menifee CA. You can google his website.

Used to build Warriors for a living. Knows them inside and out.

At least he can give you an idea on how much is wrong with it.

  • It probably won't start, not after sitting that long, but you can try.

Probably easiest to replace the carb, then it will run just fine.

1 fill point is to go to your 40 gallon fuel station, which feeds the pump on the passenger side of the trailer.

The other fill point is for the 20 gallon fuel station that is dedicated to you generator.

If the gas is that old, probably best to drain both tanks and start with fresh.

Put a bunch of bleach in the fresh water tank, along with 150 gallons of water, and let it sit for at least 24 hours. Run this through all of the lines and faucets. Drain and fill with fresh. Repeat 2X.

    Have fun!!!!
