Landing gear failure and zero gravity problems

Maiden voyage had total landing gear failure. AAA towed vehicle 104 miles back home. Fourt trip, zero gravity door right side hinge came undone, all three screws missing, causing damage to door. Took trailer to original dealer to fix door and other issues, it's been 63 days waiting because it's under warranty. Whole summer ruined.this a brand new unit, model 4105. Anybody else have similar issues?

I tow it with a 2014 Ram 3500 cummins diesel

    I was wondering same ...

I would have done the same, so I could unload everything instead letting the dealer keep my toys hostage.

    What's a "zero gravity door"?

I think it's a spring assisted ramp. Just a guess.
I wish my ramp was zero gravity. I'm a big guy and it's all I can do to get it overhead until the springs are enough. I added a ramp extension - I had hoped two additional springs would carry that load, but no.

Last night I was closing my ramp and grumbling to myself that this one is heavier than our old Weekend Warrior's ramp because it has the playpen rails on it.

Our son just moved off to his freshman year in college. That ramp was a lot easier to close when HE was doing it instead of ME.

  • What toy hauler are we talking about here? And why did AAA have to tow your tow vehicle back home?
  • Call the factory to complain. Find out if the delay is from the factory or the dealer. Ask the factory if they can recommend another dealer nearby. Then use this info to get the service manager to to get off his butt and fix your rig.

Do you ever write Yelp reviews? Review the dealer.
  • So during this 63 days what's the report from the dealer? Status of parts? I understand some parts can take a while, but almost seems it should go back to the factory.
