leak around my antenna
on 2009 big country 5th wheel last night the water started leaking around the metal part of my antenna.what would start it to leaking hadn!t happened before. thanks in advanced for help

- Had that happen on ours once, I found the weather boot on the coax that seals the coax cable to the metal base on the roof had stretched around the coax cable and let rain run down along the cable. I cheated and used a little silicone to seal the cable to the boot and never had another problem.
- X2 on the cable boot. It may seem OK but it allows water to enter.
- Same here on the cable boot.I was up there doing another repair and used my Dicor sealer to take care of it.Problem solved.

- Mine leaked, but it wasn't the cable boot. There's some o rings that go bad. Had to buy the auger, which came with the o rings installed on it and had to buy another kit that included the swivel o ring. Couldn't buy just the o ring, it came in a kit and included the top metal mount. I tried just matching the o ring, but didn't have good result. It's actually more of a flat style o'ring.
- The manual that came with our RV for the antenna indicates some routine maintenance for the pivot O-rings etc. Just another "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" item we have in our lives.
- Cable Boot was my issue as well.
- Ours leaked on our Work & Play we had brand new. I sprayed some of that Flex Seal around the base and it never happened again.
