Local dealer says stay away from new Maxxis tires??

Does he sell Maxxis? Probably can get them from a "off line" source. Does he sell Hercules? Probably has some in stock, or at his distributor warehouse. Regardless of him specializing in trailer, utility and truck tires, I suspect he has a vested interest in his "advice".
