Local dealer says stay away from new Maxxis tires??

Put Maxxis ST tires on my previous fiver in 2007, they failed pretty significantly in 2010. So, if Maxxis tire quality has tanked in the last year, seems like there would be a lot more horror stories on the forums now than in the past. Switched to LT tires.
