I have Maxis tires and plan to stick with them. What the first OP failed to mention, because he probably doesn't know, is that the Maxis failures reported by his dealer may have had nothing to do with the the quality or manufacturing of the tire, but most probably improper care of the tire, like under-inflation (major cause of tire failures) dry rot (not covering tire when stored), too many pot holes, or an alignment issue.
Three posts on tire issues with Maxis tires does NOT make them a bad tire. One must first know something about the causation.
