While this maybe true I find it unlikely because all things should average the same from year to year. Fails from improper care vs. manufacturing issues should remain constant with all else being equal. If a tire suddenly has a sharp spike in failures from prior years I do not believe there is a corresponding sudden increase in people not caring for their tires as well as they had in prior years. This dealer sells 1000's of tires so if there is a rise in failures with a particular tire I tend to think its due to issues with a batch of tires. However, the dealer could as others pointed out attempt to steer customers to a tire he makes a higher profit on.
Yes, your right. But it's all conjecture at this point, isn't it?
