More importantly is /good thorough cleaning top,bottom.....wood popsicle stick works great for scraping any scale deposits off IF you are squeamish about just using your hand/fingers. Rub seal flexing it while you scrub with dish soap, Rinse then lube.....don't forget top of blade/ball - DutchmenSportExplorerWell, I've tried just about everything imaginable on mine, and it still like to stick.
I've tried white lithium grease, Vaseline, WD-40, and even liquid cooking oil.
I have found that simply emptying the bowl and letting it dry, then pouring a couple table spoons of cooking oil over the seals and pushing the peddle a couple times does better, last longer, and is cheap.
I keep thinking I need to replace the seal, but the cooking oil just worked fine, until it rubs off. A couple more tablespoons and back in business for a while again.
Maybe someday, I'll replace the seal. - jimh406Explorer IIIIf you are trying to keep water in the bowl, my suggestion is to replace the seal. I tried a few products made to make it seal. None worked. Of course, I cleaned it each time to give each product a chance, but none really worked very long.
