Michelin XPS ribs on fiver and truck?

XPS Ribs do not come in "G"s. They are E rated and I love them on my signature 5ver. My local tire guy told me I would never wear them out, that they would rot first. This upcoming fall makes them 7 years old, and have no cracks and plenty of tread. I do cover them and use 303 UV protectant on them. This will probably be my last year before buying another set, but some say the have a 10 year lifespan. They have over 20K miles on them. When they were installed they were only 4 months old based on the DOT date.
I have Michelin LTX MS/2s on my truck, E rated, 265s R16s. I love them, they seem to be wearing OK. They are wider than the OEM 245s I had on there and I can tell the difference.
