Mirrors

If your stock mirrors will accept these Aero mirrors, they're a good investment.

Quick on and off and good view, but they do vibrate and lose some details.

Thanks all for your replies. The truck I bought was set-up to pull 5th wheel trailer. So I thought it was wide enough to see down the side of the trailer, but it is not. I can only see down the side of the trailer when I make small turns. The replacement mirrors do not have all the function my stock mirrors have. Mine have memory, dimming and turn indicators. The replacement ones do not have dimming. I was hoping they did.

I'd answer it this way, looking at signs on some trucks while in the same lane and behind them. The sign reads "if you can't see my mirrors I can't see you." Hook up your rig, using the stock mirrors and see how much you can see from the drivers seat. Then walk behind the trailer to about where a Vehicle behind you could be and see if you can see the stock mirrors. Proper mirrors not only help you, but others as well.

I was never happy with any of the clamp on or even the McKesh mirrors, they either shook so bad at highway speed you couldn't make anything out, or were too much of a hassle to put on/remove.
On my second truck I bought aftermarket towing mirrors, on my third truck I optioned for the factory ones, the last two options being much better.

I am asking about the clamp on mirror not the OEM mirror. But I am glad of the input about the extended mirror that is offered. It is around $70.00 and to replace my standard mirror with the extended OEM mirror would be over $300.00. But I will look into both.

I also bought the OEM style flip up tow mirrors for my 2001 Ram. Yes I can see the road behind me a ways back.

I'm betting that salesman failed geometry class too.

i have a 2006 and love the extension mirrors....wouldn't be without them. sales person is simply wrong.
