MOR/ryde pin box

To answer ur question I don't know enough about it! I had a super glide and it was fine! This one appears to be good too! Easier to hook up! I've pulled my 38 Demeter about 5k already and no problems!

25K miles over 7 years and not one problem, well it did dent my head pretty good one time :B

I've pulled my 5th wheel about 3500 miles now with the MorRyde pinbox on it and I think it's great. There are no downsides that I can see. It's a simple design - basically a heavy-duty rubber doughnut that encapsulates the pin, I think. And it works ! I would get one again in a New York minute !

I also have a Hensley air hitch and between the MorRyde and the air hitch, both the trailer and the truck ride really well.

There is always two sides to every story, we got yours . There are tolerances in everything, could be a combination of the tolerances on your fifth wheel, along with Mor/Ryde . Just enough to make a bad fit. The question the OP had was is it a worthwhile option, can you answer that , setting aside what you think of their customer service. My dealings with Mor/Ryde have been great, and yes the Mor/Ryde pin is a very worthwhile option

My complaint was they ( the dealer) put the pin box on and it wasn't level! Sent pictures and all the measurements they asked for! The holes didn't line up very well! U could see light thru one of the holes. Another hole was about 1/8 off and they said its within specs! That's it! They said it was a bad bracket. I changed from a Super glide to a regular hitch and had to change the pin box out. Never a call to see if we got it corrected or what? Camping World got it almost level! So, there you go!

I ordered a long pinbox (1716)instead of the short one (1116) I should have ordered Gary Wheeler was going to florida we thought a few days after me and offered to bring it down and help me change it over ( the head on the actual pin box )when he got there. Unfotunatley we were a week off but morryde shipped the new box to me and I sent the old one back. Shipping Killed me but they could have said tough buy a new one.Probably should have just cut the last holes off and drillrd new ones in the long box but he was going to talk with the engineers about that option too, So I have a hard time believing that someone had a problem with their customer service because he went out of his way for me.

While I am on a rant the morryde has a waaaaaay better and more robust design and build then the factory lippert.
