need help with wiring on SW10DE water heater

well folks, the unit I had was a SW10DEL.....the model I replaced it with is a SW10DE....its as if they deleted the L......or I simply bought the wrong one. the DEL has an orange wire. the DE...does not.its the only difference that I can see. but I cannot find anymore DEL series online. did they quit making them?
I have a gas switch and an electric switch in the coach. the DC side wires on the unit are red, blue, green.
on the harness from the coach to wire into the DC side is brown, pink, green , orange. when I flip the switch, the orange wire goes hot like it should, there just aint no where to hook it up to.
the gas side works just fine. the electric side works just fine too......except...I cannot control it via the electric switch anymore. I have to go outside and flip the black master switch if I need to turn it off.
the reason I really need this is we are having to run off 30 amp in a 50 amp unit for 3 months or so and I need to kill the water heater during microwave operations to keep from tripping a breaker.
My rv unit is a 2011 year model bought it new.
