Couple of things....
First the electric side.
If the electric element turns ON/OFF via the switch located in the outside compartment but doesn't with the remote switch inside rv then there is a problem with the remote switch. Pull it and check contacts/terminals
You could use AC circuit breaker for on/off vs going outside.
As for the gas side.
That orange wire.....it has 12V DC power on it when you flip the gas ON/OFF switch to ON? But gas side fires up, heats, shuts down OK?
Pull the gas ON/OFF switch and the light...check wiring, connections/terminals.
Locate were that orange wire connects to switch---light.
Don't know what/why orange wire (HOT when ON) is for especially with gas side operating??????
