Bought my current 5th wheel from a dealer 300 miles away over the phone. Sight unseen. No deposit. Even had a trade in. Showed up at the dealer on the determined day for PDI. 5th wheel was inside their inspection space already for us to check out. The owner of the RV dealer gave me a quick tour of things. We had already checked another one out at a different dealer so we were totally familiar with the unit. He then left us alone for as long as we wanted to go over all the functions and to find any areas of concern.
In the mean time their service guy was installing a 5th hitch in my truck.
When we were done going over the 5th wheel we signed the papers and drove off.
Probably one of the best buying experiences I've had. Not because we were getting a new 5th wheel, but because the owner was a very low pressure, honest, straight talking person.
