Too bad both units are at the same dealership. I good negotiating tool is being able to get up from the table and mention that you are now going across the street and look at other units. If he knows your budget and also knows about the two units, he can easily say, "well, since you can't afford the more expensive unit, let's look at the other unit". He wins.
