- C_SchomerExplorerOur first 3 rvs were light weight and had anemic, tinker toy looking frames like that and none of them held up to the real-life beating. I am NOT sold on their design! Only time will tell if that wimpy frame does a better job than all the other wimpy framed rvs out there. Maybe, just maybe, that wimpy frame is sufficient for the extra light weigh structure on top of it. Craig
- mwebber78ExplorerThis would be another leap forward in extending the useable lifespan of an RV. While every product has limitations this would be a move to eliminating rot and moisture damage most RV products endure due to poor construction or lack of preventative maintenance.

The undercarriage frame is steel which is what you would want in a fifth wheel. An aluminum frame would have lots more flex and end up being a problem. The only 2 good things about aluminum is it's light and it won't rust. But it's also brittle and in an atmosphere like where we are from south of Houston I have seen holes pitted completely through aluminum.
Aluminum won't rust but it will corrode! Seen that a lot in Louisiana! I agree. X2 - BroncosFanExplorerI have not come across reading about their car hauler and tow hauler trailers ALU frames having problems. I'd think those carry more weight going down the road than the empty 5th.

- BroncosFanExplorerInteresting yes the PDF does say steel frame, didn't notice that. Ironic the company's first steel chassis RV comes right after Thor buys them. I wonder if this is a chassis already from Thor's line. Was there any changes Thor brought to Airstream after they were bought out? I am not familiar with Airstream.
Notice the front of the livin lite website top rotating add number 7 shows a picture of a steel chassis all rusted out. I assume to infer the benefits of an ALU chassis that was one once unique to them. But there is a second all ALU RV business coming, link here and video shows the construction.

- kakampersExplorerHoliday Rambler was smooth aluminum sided for many years...no problem with dinging...

I like the looks of their TTs.
Heck I'd go for an all aluminum fiver.
Pretty slick line up. - Michael_in_MNExplorerI was hoping that it would be smaller - more like the 19' Scamp.
It also looks like it has a steel frame? all their other trailers have an aluminum frame.
