New 5th wheel & now new Tow Vehicle

Ok, here is followup as promised. Took first trip with new truck and new 5th wheel. I will say this. Our other outfit was a 27' 5th wheel pulled with 2004 silverado 2500 HD, duramax, single wheel. Our new outfit is 40' 5th wheel pulling with 2016 3500 duramax,4x4, dually. I feel real comfortable with this setup. This truck pulls this rig much better than other truck pulled older rig. What I know now, If I was in market for tow vehicle, nothing but a dually.

Well got an older hijacker pivot head fifth wheel hitch, but my old one measures 31 1/2" to fit in slot of rails and this newer one measures 32" so of course will not fit in old rails I have, wonder if it is possible to undo and redrill to make rails move a bit.

I'm a B&W 'fanboy' according to some, so will recommend them wholeheartedly. Frankly, even if I didn't currently have a gooseneck trailer, I'd probably still buy the Turnover Ball GN base as well as the Companion. Never hurts to have that option, IMO. FWIW, I was able to tow a friend's trailer to CO and back this summer simply =because= I had the GN.

This looks like it would work well with Rambox due to the handle dimension/angle...

Hamnet check with trucksmart in Rocklin I bet they beat the price you got and will get it done promptly. This is the only place i shop for truck accessories based on price and customer service.

Thank you everyone. I looked into the Trailer Saver and talked to their Manufacture. Got price and it was a little costly but looks like it is worth it. After a few hours got a return call and they were having some special pricing he didn't state while talking to him. I am a person that acts on pricing as it is at stated.
So anyway, I went with a PullRite ISR Series Super 5th 20K. It will be installed Friday as we do our PDI on our new 5th wheel.

I sure learned something about Camping World today. What a piece of _ _ _ _. Went in there to get pricing and possible purchase of a Honda generators and 5th wheel hitch, two people walked by me without asking if I needed help or anything. When I finally seen someone tuck into a side office, I asked for pricing on each item. He said I need to talk to the parts counter. With that statement I said I will but somewhere else and walked out. If at all possible, I will never step foot in a Camping World again. These stores are in Citrus Heights, Ca and Rocklin, Ca.

You might take a look at Trailer Saver hitches. They are also a quality built heavy duty hitch but with the added benefit of a smooth tow. It looks like you are dropping some major bucks on a nice trailer and truck. You might as well go for the best and softest connection when hooking them together.

I am indeed abandoning my Andersen, and will detail the issues I've had with it in a posting with pictures later on. I'm still waiting to hear anything from Andersen regarding my issues, but didn't have time to wait on them as I'm doing another moderately long road trip in a few days. Basically, I've had trouble with the adapter a couple times with the dealers equipment damaging it. (Replaced), the bed of my truck isn't tough enough for the Andersen, especially backing uphill, trying to back over a curb etc. It also trashed my pin box being the Lippert 1621 box bottom plate isn't strong enough for all the pin weight to be carried totally on the two set screws closest to the ball. The other two don't actually carry any weight when you think about it. I liked the light weight, but straight up I don't feel the hitch capable of handling a 15.5k 5er for any real distance, or on anything but flat smooth roads with no bumps, panic stops etc.
