I have a friend who owns a cameo and towed it with a F250 now he tows with a Volvo 770.

Read the towing specs that all manufacturers have and pick a truck configuration that will handle the trailer. Don't rely on personal opinion, get the facts. You are legally responsible for having an adequate tow vehicle.

With a new DRW 1 ton which is like a 2 1/2 ton payload your good to go.

Brother has a Redwood, don't know what model it is but it's probably 39-40 ft. Had a 2013 Dodge 2500 when he first got the trailer. He pulled it a couple of times and traded the 2500 in on a new Dodge 3500 DRW and now he feels like he is in control instead of the tail wagging the dog.

You are in the 1ton drw world. Take your pick.

Any of the current 1 ton dual rear wheel diesel trucks will handle the Redwood. I would not attempt to tow it with a single rear wheel truck as you will probably be over the trucks GVWR once loaded.

Yes you will see folks pulling that same trailer with a 3/4 ton truck and saying that they do fine. They do not have clue as to the real weights of the truck and trailer.

And I know of people pulling a 16K# FW with an F250/2500. Yes, they can pull it, but I'll bet they are significantly over their payload rating.

Go to the Redwood Owners forum at the Redwood site and ask there. I believe most of those guys have one ton DRW.
