New toilet for my fiver

I am looking for opinions for a new porcelain toilet. 2 years ago I replaced my crappy toilet with a Dometic 310 porcelain toilet. First year the valve failed and cost me $30. to replace it. This weekend the foot valve stuck and flooded bath room , thank goodness it was clean water. The foot pedal was constantly sticking over the last several months. I am always cleaning the bottom slide valve and gasket and I am tired of messing with this thing. I am done with this POS toilet. The cheap plastic toilet I had in it worked better than this garbage thing. .Thanks for any input.

We have the same toilet as edatlanta...it's our third. After replacing virtually every moving part on the last toilet, I have decided that from now on I will just replace the entire toilet when an issue arises!

For the price and less hassle factor - X2

  • I am operating with a Thetford Aqua-MagicĀ® Style II. I full time and I'm on unit #4. The first three failed in various ways from the water valve, foot flush mechanism, etc. Each time warranty covered it so I'm not out any money, but I am convinced of one thing. RV toilets aren't designed for full time use. The components just won't hold up. When this one fails I'll just buy another one and chuck this one in the trash. Changing the water valve involves messing with the foot flush and vice versa and if you change one you screw up the other. IMHO

Not worth changing parts. I just wish someone would make a quality unit.
