The OP was looking at RVs 36 feet and greater. At those lengths, the limited campsite availability will be pretty much the same regardless of the actual lengths.
Now if the OP had been deciding between 28ft and 36ft, then campsite availability would have been a factor.
In newer parks, the site length is not such an issue, but in older parks, 35 foot was a big RV back when they were built, and they will not have room for a 40 foot plus 5er. So, length is a major issue in some parks and should not be overlooked. It depends on the area the where they plan to travel.
