Onan Generator Air Filter

It's time for me to replace my filter & saw K&N makes a reusable filter for the generator. Anyone use them? I've never had issues with them in my toys. Anyone have any first hand use, or advise? Thanks.

I agree. K&N air filters are junk. They let in dirt.

I would stick with a ONAN generator air filter.

Speaking of which, is there a preferred aftermarket vendor that sells onan products? An internet search shows a few- any one better (or cheaper) than another?
  • The only K&N filters I ran were for our ATVs they were cleaned and oiled before every trip out. I don't think it's worth it for the Generator.
  • Paper or foam filter will provide much better filtration than a K&N.

I never run a straight K&N without an outerwear.
