Larry, I agree with you!!! Ha! Ha!
I just put new tires on the truck. The Michelin LTX M$S' still had tread left, however they were 6 years old and had 50K on them. They were getting slippery when it was raining, and we are doing a wine trip to Eastern Washington the end of the month to Yakima Indian Nation RV, Desert Aire and other points in your side of the state.
Daddy also taught me to have good tires.
That is why I ran XPS Ribs on the trailer for 6.5 years and 40K+ miles and now have Duravis R250's. The truck got Duravis R500HD commercial grade tires. This R500HD would be a good choice for a poly carcass trailer tire. The LT245/75R16 weighs in at 47 pounds, and probably the most of all the poly LT245/75R16E's available. I need to replace the New XPS RIB trailer spare that is 10 years old and now think I will do that with a R500HD.
The LT265's R500HD's on the truck weigh 55 pounds. These tires have a nice closed outer rib that would be good for trailer use, and the truck is a freeway queen! It has more miles towing than BobTail.
