Hi all, Just wanted to share that the wife and I are proud owners of a brand new Lance 2212 toy hauler. We picked it up 6/27/15 and were camping in the Tahoe National Forest over the fourth of July weekend. This is our second trailer but quite an improvement over our 2006 attitude. The layout of this trailer is pretty cool and we could not stop thinking about it when looking at some other models. We wee even shown a couple of toy haulers that were much larger for about the same price but the layouts just felt kinda blah, and almost all had bathrooms that felt like you should wear elbow and knee pads in, while this 2212 feels pretty roomy. The quality was also pretty noticeable compared to the stealth, attidude, and stellars that we looked at. Some of the things that make this trailer unique are the power awnings on side and rear with LEDs built in. LED lights used through the whole trailer inside and out, and blue "mood" lighting on front and rear exterior and above the overhead cabinets inside. Not that that makes the trailer any more functional or anything but it sure looks cool! And it has an island style galley with a slide out and a separate(locking door) front bedroom, all in a 22' box! So anyway if you can't tell I'm pretty excited about this trailer. I've look all around on this forum and google searched for any owner reviews and found nothing so I just thought I'd share and if anyone has any questions about the trailer please feel free to ask.

On another note we did find a few minor issues with the trailer during our first trip. One was that the drawer underneath the fridge would slide out while traveling. Not to big of a deal but I found it odd because the drawer needed a very firm push to close but would come out very easily. Another was the little hand hold on the dead bolt used to hold the stow away galley in place, would just pop off while trying to pull on it. Also not big deal could be found at any hardware store. And then the digital hour meter for the generator did not work. Blank screen nothing happend when turned on. These were the only problems we found so far that are manufacture issues. So we took note of these things to pass on to dealer, to get repairs sometime when we happend to be near them again. (2 hours away)Then while camping in the Tahoe NF we get hit with some heavy rain..... Now I realize that something is very wrong! There is water leaking out from underneath the control panel and the solor control panel directly above it! See we had the dealer install the solor panel and controller because we had found the same unit elsewhere WITH solor for the same price and the dealer wanting our business said they would install it for us at no extra charge. My wife is in sales and she really liked our sales lady and wanted to stick with the original dealer. I was nervous because I would rather have something factory installed than put on afterward by the dealership. But the wife talked to sales lady, who talked to service department, who assured us that they were using the exact same products in the exact location as the factory would becuase it was premiered for the solor. I finally gave in and said "ok let close the deal with them." Well I tell you what, when I saw water running down the wall inside our brand new trailer! Coming out from between the wall and control panel no less! I was HOT!! Of course I started ith telling the wife "you see, this is exactly why you never have the dealer install anything that should have come from the factory!" boy was I mad I think my wife and our friend both said they've never seen me so angry. Well as soon as the rain stopped I climb up on the to inspect and I see the solor panel it looks good mounted nicely and nice fresh white caulking around all the mounting points. Then I follow the wires and sure enough, where the wires run in thru the roof a hole about 3/4" just open, no caulking, nothing! There was old caulking around the hole and four little screw holes as if there had been a cap or something there to designate the area for the pre-wire? But the wires were just running in thru an open hole, with nothing to block out the weather. I got down off the roof even angrier than before, and more so becuase I had a feeling it was a bad idea to let the dealer do this as a last ditch effort to have us buy from them, yet I went thru with it anyway. In the end my wife hade takin pictures and video of the leak and told the sales lady what had happend, she and the service department manger said it was absolutely unacceptable and that they would take care of the problem. And they did just that. We came home Sun. Night unloaded the trailer, the dealer sent a driver out to pick up the rig and take it back down to them tuesday morning and today (Thursday) they brought it back. The roof was properly sealed up, the way it should have been done the first time. And they fixed all the other small issues that we had found as well. BUT... as the driver was parking the trailer, I noticed a screw in one of the tires! ( give me a break!) I notified the driver and spoke to his supervisor over the phone and we came to an agreement that they would cover the cost to repair. So now that our trailer is back home and all the bugs are worked out we hope to enjoy it as often as possible. Oh and turns out the service department put a couple of new camping chairs in the trailer for us, for the trouble i guess.So in the end I guess I would have to say that our dealer did a good job of standing behind their sale, just wish it didn't happen in the first place. My inlaws have a brand new 16' TT from Lance, and i swear thats how it came from the Lance factory in our town, The frame is light weight bolt together with holes to make it light, didnt like that either.

Oh, ok your talking about the TT which I don't know too much about as I have their toy hauler and never looked into the TT but I think your talking about two differnt beasts here. Those TTs are made to but super light and towed by an average suv and only made to hold about 1000 pounds of cargo. I don't think they need to be build like something made to carry heavy atv's and other toys out into unpaved areas. Built for different purposes. Anyway I respect your right to a diffrent opinion and thanks for sharing.

Oh I want one, I WANT ONE :-) but I'm going to use my Rage'n for a couple more years. Maybe by then Lance will have something new to offer.

Tongue Wt./Gross Dry Wt. = 640/6605 = 9.7%
Tongue Wt./GVWR = 640/9950 = 6.4%
They must be counting on carrying some water.

Mine:
Funfinder Xtra XT-245
Tongue Wt./Gross Dry Wt. = 765/4650 = 16.5%
Tongue Wt./GVWR = 765/7765 = 9.9%
As weighed Tongue Wt./As weighed camper wt. = 780/6740 = 11.5%

How did the tongue weight work out when it was loaded?

Honestly I didnt find out the tongue weight of of loaded trailer . I can tell you that we put almost everything in the trailer th TV only carries myself, wife, our baby, dipper bag. her stroller and the wood that I place under the jack rides in the bed. I estemate that the combined weight is about 460-480. I'd have to check what the trucks acual payload is.

*Edit: checked and the trucks payload is 1650# max tounge weight is 1150# the items theat are in the trailer plus food, drink, and an atv brings it to about 7,800# I don't know the toung weight as loaded

The specs say it has an oven and a microwave and a spare tire as standard equipment.
