Payload for 2016 Ram 2500?? What am I missing??

I just traded my '13 ram 2500 cc short bed for a '16 ram 3500 cc short bed. The way it handles my fw camper is substantial. Same cost, same size, same look, way better payload, and tows like a maniac. That dang 2500 was my favorite teuck, but that payload number bruises a guy that likes heavy toys.

All in all the 2500 can do the work safely, but its better, easier, and smoother with the 3500.
