PD 4655

I have a MagneTek series 6300A model 6345
I had called Randy and he sent me a PD 4655. it is a 55 amp. looking at instructions and it says not to install a larger am unit than you are replacing. mine was a 45 amp. will it be ok
  • how do I check for the wire size. the cable connecting to the battery look big. I can check tomorrow. what is meant by entire wire loop.
    also does he ground wire need to be checked for sizw

    The wire size is marked on the insulation. The entire loop is plus wire to the plus battery terminal and the minus, sometimes called, wire to the battery minus terminal.
  • The entire loop means (1) the main 12v+ from battery to the fuse panel (2) main ground/frame connection at the fuse panel (3) the ground/frame connection at the battery.

    Electricity flows in a circle. If any section is under size it will reduce performance or overheat.
  • well I checked wire size at battery. has 2 wires, 1 6# 1 8#. thought 1 would go to converter but no. 1 goes directly to hydraulic pump for slides, other to the hydraulic jacks.
    where would the converter wire connect to battery.
    also does the shore power connect to the converter.
