Just turn the knob back to Pilot and not to off. The oven will go out but the pilot will stay lit. Lots of people turn it all the way off to save propane, avoid heat, etc.

The very small orifice in the pilot light gas line will get partially plugged. Take it apart and use a sewing needle to clean it out. The hole is so small that it is hard to see. Be careful not to make it too large.

The pilot light can be left on all of the time or turned off every time, which is what I do.

If you are wanting the pilot light to stay lit while using the oven then its the thermocouple. If you are wanting it to stay lit while not using the oven, that will not happen. The ovens in campers will shut the pilot light off when you turn the oven off. Its a safty issue for camper.

If it's an issue with the pilot not staying lit when using the oven so that when the oven cools enough to call for more heat the pilot is out and the oven will not relight then that was a recall issue. But that was about 3 year ago.

look up Suburban recalls. There is one out there for Suburban.....and your problem sounds like the problem they recalled. :)
