Why? Are your axles drive axles ;) Not sure it would make any difference at all.

The Sailuns are made in China, BUT meet ISO certifications of TS16949 standards that MY company has to meet to produce a Quality recognized product and to compete globally... I KNOW Sailun tires meet stringent manufacturing and Quality processes...I don't know that about Kenda, nor a PILE of them "made in China"..(no certifications that I'm aware of by these manufacturers).

Use to be the only "game in town" when it came to a "G" rated tire was/is GY G614's..Now Sailun has come along, manufacturing a quality product, (or they WOULDN'T get TS 16949 certification...I know this from my experience with this audit at our manufacturing plant). I know there are other "G" rated tires out there, but at this time, there are only 2 I would even give a second glance, and that is GY G614's and the Sailun S637... I will look at them when it's time to replace my GY G614's....I will purchase 5 of them, so I doubt, from all reviews we've had with the Sailuns, IF I go that route, that I would have so many tires fail at once, that I would be stranded on the road waited to try to find another Sailun tire...I would have a spare...

Pretty sure OP was talking G rated tires, not E or H rated tires..

The tire business has changed dramatically over the years not just talking trailer tires. There was a time when to get a good tire it had to be a Michelin or a Goodyear or a Firestone.... Not the case these days and don't get me wrong we have junk Chinese car and truck tires out there too.

I've used the G-614's and they were great but there are tires now that are just as good or better so it's not always necessary to run the other way and pay double.

Not me, I like to have options. And use them if I so desire.

Don't you think the prove is in the pudding. From everything we are hearing about the Sailun , I think the better quote is that its a better tire then the Goodyear, and you don't have to pay the high price for insurance because of potential damage.

The Michelin tire that's a comparable to the Duravis is the 16" XPS Rib. The Michelin XTA is a 17.5" 4805 lb @ 120 PSIG tire.

I did check and my wheels will hold the pressure.

It all depends on the weight of your trailer. For most fifth wheel users, the Michelin ATX or Bridgestone Duravis R250's will do just as well.

I got Duravis R250's at Costco for $197. The Sailuns are also very good at a great price, but their dealers are few and far between--in case service or replacements are needed.
