Pulled the trigger,2105 Ram crew 3500,hitch install question

So i have a stupid question....just a side note 100% new to the 5th wheel pulling ETC..and trying to learn all the Lingo.
we have been MH class A for 10+ years and have decided to make the change.
i did watch the video and looks fairly easy install
but i dont want a goose neck i will be going with a slider .
im going to assume,,and yes i know....does a slider hitch install on top of the goose neck ball????
