Are there any others out there besides Carriage and Lifestyle owners with the Quadra Big Foot Auto leveling system on their rigs. I had it on my Cameo and on my current Lifestyle. I never had any issue with the Cameo auto level. However, on the Lifestyle the auto level sends the rig into a nose dive. You end up leveling manually. This is a hot topic of discussion on the Carriage/Lifestyle owners forum and Quadra is aware and thus far have no solution nor are they saying that its an installation issue. Does anyone else have this issue with the Big Foot system on their rig? If so, have you found a fix? Thanks, Phillip

I have factory installed BF on my Hitchhiker. The only time that has happened to me is when the site is WAY low in the rear. You are aware that you have to start nose high, correct?

If you have a generation II Big Foot, expect problems. 1.5 years we have been through 1 jack and 3 control boards. It will loose level and nose dive. Call Big Foot and discuss the problems. I have added a toggle switch to totally power off the sensor when traveling and it seems to be working.Ken

So far so good on our Carri-Lite. If it starts acting up, I'll just run the controls and level it myself. I have level bubbles on the front corner for side to side and fore and aft. Still a pretty easy level even if you have to do the thinking and push the control buttons;) Take care.

The improved generation II was not much of an improvement.Ken

Thanks for the responses guys! No one on the LS/Carriage forum has any answers and those in contact with Quadra say they are working on it. FYI, this is on a 2014 model which was built and installed after the elimination of the rear sensor. I do know to start nose high. Generally, the rig is nose high just in order to uncouple. But I always raise the nose more before I start the auto level mode. A few others on the other forum have installed the toggle switch and say it will auto level then most the time. I do have bubble levels to see the attitude for both angles. However, after a long trip and especially in the dark is sure is nice to just push one button. Besides, that is what it is designed to do. Thanks for the responses and love to hear from anyone else with this issue.

Just spoke to Eric at Quadra. He told me they are fully aware of the issue and are working on a new sensor. I didn't push him as to when it would be ready. In the meantime, he advised me to add the on/off switch that would cut the power to the sensor during travel. This would involve splicing into the red wire that come from the six pin wiring harness. I guess will try that simple $5 fix in the meantime while waiting for a new sensor from Quadra to correct the issue.
Oh, and btw buc1980, I'll pass on the Lippert system. LOL

I added the switch that was suggested and have not had any issues since. It completely cuts the power to the system. When I turn on the new switch, the read out says please wait then goes blank. Then I turn on the panel power switch. Once the system is leveled, I do the reverse - panel power off then the new switch to off.
Since the install of this switch, they system has worked fine for 3 full cycles.
