My 5th wheel has two Flexsteel swivel rocker recliners in the rear of the coach and I have to move one of them into the entrance area in order to bring LR slide in. They are very heavy and I want to replace them with lighter recliners that will be easier to move, what have others used to replace these heavy chairs? I have read that some use Lazyboy but I cannot find what model they used. Any Ideas?

What about the Euro design like these?

Choose the ones you like. We replaced the ones on our old rig with Lazyboys. And when we can we will do the same with the new ones. Didnt look for particular models.

We have LazyBoy Pinnicle walk huggers. We eliminated the factory provided recliners when we ordered our HitchHiker and the Lazy Boys work just fine.

We've had low cost Euro chairs (RV style and one from JC Penney) and high priced Ekornes. We've had good luck with Lazyboy Pinnacle line fitting the spaces. But they still had to be turned sideways to pull the slides in.We liked the Pinnacle so well, we bought it in reclining leather loveseat for the dinette slide. The 2 recliners took up too much space, and we eventually gave them to our DD and brought back the Euro chair. But I missed a rocker, so bought the Harbor Town version in cloth. Was a floor model on sale and I like the contrasting wood accents.

i replaced one of those heavy recliners with an inexpensive euro style recliner with ottoman. It only weighs 53 lbs. and does not have to be turned sideways to bring in the slide. I really like it cause it sits up straighter. I'm not much on reclining. Now to convince hubby he should have one.(but, he likes to recline) Gave the heavy one to the salvation army in Quartzsite. Thanks ReneeG but our tv comes up from behind the fireplace. Not enough room for a swivel arm. And Blacksilver, great suggestion but we have children that visit sometimes so we need the bed.

One day we had e eureka moment. Maybe twice a year someone sits on that damned couch. It's big and it cramps our camper. Out it went!

This is the exact setup of our Bighorn 3055RL, so we just kept the sofa in it's original spot and fortunate for us, the TV is on a swivel arm so we pull it out and swivel it so that the two of us can easily watch it from the recliners without having to strain our necks. If your TV is not on an arm and can be, look into replacing it with a swivel or articulating mount.

Interesting topic. We have a Montana 3455SA. The two recliners were in the rear of the fifth wheel and the sofa bed on the side by the dining table. This was a nice setup except that the entertainment system was opposite the sofa bed.I wanted to sit in the recliner to watch tv but straight on not getting a kink in my neck because we like a lot of you changed our recliners for two LazyBoy Pinnacles. With much effort I moved the sofa bed and the recliners which now is how I figure it should be set up. Now the problem is the slides won't close with the sofa bed in the rear of the Rv. Anyone have any solution?

I had the same problem trying to move the heavy recliners. Moved the recliners t
where the old sofa was ( threw the sofa out) Picked up two cheap euro rocker/recliners at a chain called ShopKo for less than 300.00. they are real light. Now we will see how they hold up. They are comfortable, but then I can
fall asleep in any chair
