I have the Fold-A-Cover LS purchased in 2004. Three years ago I had to replace the rubber seals that cover the hinges as they had rotten out. Although the manufacturer says that the cover is not waterproof and that some rain water may leak into the bed. this year I noticed that it's leaking way more than it ever has. Also the cover is painted flat black and the paint has faded quite a bit. However the cover is 9 years old. The new model version has a different locking mechanism which should be a vast improvement over what I have(which didn't work that well). All in all, I'd probably go with something else next time.
Have to agree. And with the OP living in AZ the seals do not stand a chance with the sun and heat. I would be on my third set of seals based on the life expectancy I got off my first set.
As I mentioned earlier, it's doing it's job, but not as well as it could be.
