Roof Failure

I have a 2011 Crossroads Seville. The roof beams have failed. The corner wields seperated. That is if it was wielded to begin. This unit is stationary. Yes I have it parked in a campground with no vehicle to move it. The only mileage on this RV is to and from the dealership and manufacturer for repairs the dealership could make. Now the roof is collapsing. The ceiling is bowing down ready to fall. The dealership inspected the roof on 6/28/13 and I have still not heard from Crossroads who I called directly. I left messages with Crossroads President Don Emahiser who has not returned a call or made anyone else call me back as of today. This is not a company that you want to reply on their warranty. They just keep putting me off. I have had so many problems with this RV that the company should be embarrassed. Now I have to hire an attorney and sue them for the repurchase. Oh! Didn't I tell everyone that this RV has been OUT OF SERVICE for 190 days in the first 2 years of ownership. Could you imagine? Any suggestions?

    I had one if the Cruisers in their heyday in the late 2000's... Best RV I've owned. I too have noticed a shift in their policies and the amount of quality issue posts on their own owners forum. I went to look before buying my Eagle and the warranty had gone from 2+5 to 1 year. The reduction was in the midst of people stating their new units were defective. Based on my observations I have no reason to question the poster. My opinion is the unit I looked at was noticeably slapped together compared to my 2009 - it was junk IMHO.

    If you look at my posts I was previously one of many cheerleaders for Crossroads; not anymore.

    Ever since Don Emahiser took over Crossroads, the quality of their rv's has fallen steadily and then to top it off they cut the warranty period in half. Go to the Crossroads forum and read what owners are saying and pay attention to the ones who have bought a Crossroads rv in the last 2 or 3 years. Does not help the OP any but maybe it will make future buyers reconsider.

    I do not buy it. Nice try, but there are too much company bashing by new members on this forum to be believable.

    Sorry for my skepticism.


    I was the one that told him to post about this on rv.net. Sorry, but when a company will not take care of their customers then others should know about it. He has a 2+5 warranty on his unit so Crosssroads should have taken care of his issues. He is lucky he bought his unit before they cut their warranty in half.

    I have seen when trailer life gets involved things get done. At this point it would be worth a try.

    I'm very sorry to hear of your issues. Here is the 2011 factory brochure for the Seville that states they have the 2+5 warranty and the commitment to quality. I wish you the best in a satisfactory resolution.
    On the quote about Emahiser, isn't it amazing that the good ole boy network of CEOs can destroy company after company and always find work someplace else. All at the expense of its employees and customers. Sad! Phillip

    so you are calling dbonds1 a liar? perhaps OP got fed up with no response from the firm so he joined up to vent? maybe he has been lurking for years?
