One of our first 5ers rode badly and it had the lower plates for shocks but no brackets on the frame. I didn't know Monroe made a kit so I went to a parts store and found gas magnums, meant for a P/U front end, built brackets and put them on. The improvement was amazing! RV shocks are really wimpy and don't do nearly the job that those full size magnums did. If it's going to take some work to put shocks on, do it right and use good ones. Craig
