Shock Absorbers

Bilsteins tend to have a bit more bounce over expansion joints than Koni's but they are not as stiff and don't jar as hard when you can't avoid a bad bump or pot hole.

My thoughts are from having Bilsteins on 2 different gas models they give a bone jarring ride at any speed. On the latest model I went to Koni, I fine them better at speeds of 30mph or less, but still near bone jarring at highway speeds. A good friend just installed Monroe shocks on his 36' gas motorhome. I have driven it and must say it has the best ride of the 3 gas coaches I have driven.

I just put Koni shocks into the front of ours, huge difference, they are adjustable.

There are Koni shocks and then there are Koni FSD shocks. Which do you have??

Just put new Koni FSD on our year old MH at 3000 miles. We noticed a significant difference in the ride. Less side to side sway and much less jarring on the road. This comes as a improvement over the new factory installed shocks. The drive is so much more pleasurable.

The shocks that work well on a 32,000 dp and those that work well on a 20,000 gasser are not necessarily the same.

I would pay more attention to those that have tried different shocks on a gasser.

Mine are the FSD, I have fronts and rears that I installed back in the spring. I saw where someone spoke of a Koni adjustable for the Ford F53, but I don't see any listed on the Koni site and I remember just before I ordered the FSD's in the spring Koni told me they did not have an adjustable for the Ford F53. Please explain "There are Koni and then there are Koni FSD" Which do you suggest I should have purchased??

I have Bilsteins and so far very happy with them! Way better than the Monroe Shocks that I had replaced.

Monroe RV shocks is the way I went, the ride is soft and still good sway control and is the least cost of all RV shocks.
