  • Ventrman...

I have a Husky 16k sliding hitch in my standard bed 2500HD.

Does not seem to require much "messing with"... it is just a pull

handle very similar to the handle you pull in prep to hitch

the 5ver. Works for me...not a lot of bells and whistles... I had

the place I bought my fiver install. Good luck.

  • The Titan does NOT come in 3/4 ton trim. I'd like to see where you're getting this from. Please prove me wrong. Just because some owners think it is overbuilt and under rated does not make it a 3/4 ton truck. A 1500lbs payload also does not make it a 3/4 ton truck. There are lots of trucks out there that have over 2000lbs payload but are still 1/2 ton trucks and even 3/4 tons that have less than 2k payloads. There is a lot more to a 3/4 ton truck than just payload. There are some pretty ridiculous claims going on at the Titan forums too.

I have never used one, but from what I saw it looks like a good alternative to messing with a slider. Also if your used to backing a trailer, it would make the fiver be similar as the pivot point is moved back Quite a bit.

Yes, they do make a 3/4 Ton.
  • You will do better ith the reese revolution pin box.good chance a slider when you slide it back the pin box will hit the tailgate or reduce your turn ratio with back corners of the bed
  • B&W makes a manual slider, as do many other companies. I think Reese and RBW make auto sliders, not sure. I have no idea if any of them make hitches to fit a Titan.

Due to Titan's low payload and rear axle load capacity, you may be better off going with a bumper pull trailer, since they have much less hitch weight than a fifth wheel of same size/weight.
