Slides and rain????

That's what wipers are for. Besides you can't get between the two main slides when they are both fully in.

I DO have slide toppers on all three.

Same here. Have never had to wipe down. Good test this weekend for us. It's supposed to rain all weekend here and we have to have all slides out to pack for a trip. We'll most likely leave the slides out till Monday when it dries up. I'm more concerned about wet slide awning covers and mildew as those are not easy to get to, to clean.

X2 I do have a squeegee for the slide roofs!

FWIW, I =do= sweep my slide off before retracting, just to make sure there's no trash on it to bugger up the seals. I have done this when it was wet, but not raining.

I have roller covers on top the slides, so there isn't too much water there. I have wiped the sides off before closing, when it rain but stopped just before closing. But wiping them while raining doesn't really do anything. Once they are in, I can't get to them to wipe them off. I let the wipers do their job best they can. I have noticed any issue for us.

IN the rare event that we have to retract a wet slide, I quickly wipe it down with a towel so it doesn't get the carpet wet.

Enough of the joking around. :) The OP just wants to know if he needs to wipe them off when they are brought in. If you want you can but it's not really necessary. If your built in wipers are working then they should be fairly dry when brought in. Those wide black rubber looking things that are attached to the sides and top of the trailer act as a squeegee. They wipe the sides and top. They aren't that good at it but help some. Main issue is just make sure the top doesn't have debris on it. Depending on how your slides come in you may have a hard time reaching them to dry off.

Thank you all for answering the question. As this is my first 5th wheel I am sure I will have one or two more questions :) :) We have it all set up and doing our first shake down trip to the delta for the weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!!
