Someone help please...Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C

I posted on here recently that our electrical system was zapped while we were in a state park. The electric company was replacing ground wires and accidently removed the neutral wire when they pulled...

It almost sounds like a dont install this so I can fix more damage the next time this happens. Or he doesn't know what it us, in which case I would question his ability to do the repair and properly install the surge protector. It is also possible he had it mixed up with another unit that is high voltage protection only.
