-we do a wood treatment wipedown prior to summer park... not
sure if it helps , but makes us feel better.
-on yesterdays visit I noted I had turned the ottoman wrong
side down on the recliner seat... the "pleather" did not
appreciate it... now with soft side down.

many chubascos, Sciroccos, Haboobs, Monsoons... whatever flavor

My friend leaves 2 50 gallon garbage cans full of water when he leaves in April & when he returns in October they are both empty. The 5er is stored in a storage unit out of the sun, so 5 or 10 gallons sounds very marginal.
We are fortunate that we can go by and check on the rig fairly frequently. We only live a few miles from the storage place. Therefore, we re-fill the buckets periodically. - larry_barnhartExplorer

I will be storing our 5th wheel at our home in SW AZ.
What tips do I need to know regarding: heat, dust, insects and rodents?
Thank you.
covered storage seems to be getting popular. Casa Grande had new covered storage open up last September and it filled quickly.
chevman - dtappy3353ExplorerThanks everyone for the pointers.
Comforting to get tips from those who have experience.
Casa Grande area is flat, dry with moderate wind. However, it does get "haboobs" shared from Phoenix at times.

I am a life long AZ resident and this is the best thing you can do. By keeping the buckets of water in the rig while its in storage, you will keep all of the glues from drying out. I have seen plenty of RV's with wallpaper and lamanents coming off.
I also cut pieces of plywood to keep the sun off of the tires.
Maybe my wallpaper trim would still be up if I'd done this. Live 'n learn, I guess.
