Sub flooring sealer

Is it ok to seal your sub floor before installing laminate flooring. Or would it be just a water trap if you do have a water leak. I am thinking maybe when a leak does happen the water would be trapped between the laminate and the sealer on the plywood sub floor thus making the new floor raise up. I did have a water leak at one time the plywood is stained but not dry rotted. So that is why I was wondering about a sealer. Any info would be appreciated thanks in advance. Thanks.
  • I heard that Alure have problem to come off because of the contrast temperature in the trailer.I have laminate in my trailer for 2 1/2 years with no problem.I install the plastic down before the laminate. It look excellent.
