After I finished our 4 hour drive back home with our 2010 Cameo 32FWS I checked the temperature of each wheel/hub with infrared temp gauge. The two right side hubs were at 116F, while the two left side hubs were at 94F. Are these temps ok? Is the difference ok? I've not had experience in this area and I don't want a problem on our planned trip to Glacier NP from Iowa this July. Thanks in advance.Pigdoc

The right side would normally run higher than the left due to the loading caused by the crown of the road. If the sun were also on the right side, that could explain the difference.Rusty

A strong crosswind could have contributed too maybe.However I wouldn't worry if I had readings like those.

I always have that much difference between the sunny side and off side. If it was the sunny side I would be concerned.

Thanks for the info. The trip today was heading west, from 4-8pm, with a medium headwind and outside temp 92F. Is 116F a high hub temp under that scenario?

Also internal loading, depending on where slides, kitchen, etc., located.

Have you inspected and repacked the bearings recently? If so, I wouldn't worry about it.

I've noticed that with my TPMS system that the outer curb side tires run a couple pounds higher pressure and about 8-10 degrees warmer...all of which is normal.

On mine, the truck exhaust side runs warmer than the other side.

Agree about the sunny side. My TPMS that also shows temps, the sunny side always runs at a higher temp than the shady side.

How did that tire temp compare? Heading West the right side tires were is the sun this time of the year??????

If the tires had a similar higher temperature on that side, I might not worry about it!

Servicing the bearings is the sure way to assure that you do not have a problem developing.

I have on the first on April(low 90's) seen higher tire temps on the shaded side(North side) between Phoenix and Palm springs when the wind was blowing out of the South all day at 40MPH. Hubs where not that far apart in temps!
