Yeah I'm going to have my new China bombs replaced with some better quality tires. Are the Sailuns made in the USA? I've never heard of this brand. Are they better than the Goodyear Marathons (which BTW are made in China)?
I have a tandem axle utility trailer so the China bombs will go on it which currently has a set of China bombs that are about 4 years old and knock on wood never had a problem.
Fish ,
If I were in that spot , I may still sway towards the GY... Like Cummins stated , GY stands behind their product in the event of blow outs (usually) that there in itself is worth the price difference...
I am not sure anyone has any track record of chasing Saliun with a claim ??
just my $.02- fj12ryderExplorer IIII totally agree. I had the Sailun and the Carlisle ST tires side by side and there is no comparison as to weight and sidewall strength. It's like comparing tissue paper with kevlar.

Replacing my bombs on my trailer today with Bridgestone Duravis R250s and had a chance to look and compare both tires unmounted side-by-side. Absolutely no comparison. Weight and sidewall thickness of the LT over the ST is dramatic. I don't see how anyone could defend an ST tire after comparing side by side to a good LT.
Good choice with the Duravis R250... those tires will do the job easily,no more worries.
In an earlier post I commented on comparing the tires side by side,if more people would do the hands on comparison you did we would have less people defending these cheap inadequate tires.
For me ST meant Sure Trouble & Short Term
On the other hand the Sailun St is a heavy duty high quality manufactured tire totally different than the cheap light ST's.The Sailun's have excellent performance reviews and I will definitely consider them when I need new tires in a few years. - fj12ryderExplorer IIII ordered my Sailun tires from Simple Tire with no issues. Arrived on time and the shipping rate was not that bad for 6 tires. I'm very happy with my Sailun tires.
- NWKomfort350ExplorerI'm looking at ordering 235/85r16 LRG Sailun for my new 5er.
Simple tire seems to be the best price. Has anybody used them, good or bad?
I was originally going to order from Trailer Tires and Wheels, but its a substantial price difference. - Cummins12V98Explorer III

That is a great choice in an "E" rated 16" tire! - N-TroubleExplorerReplacing my bombs on my trailer today with Bridgestone Duravis R250s and had a chance to look and compare both tires unmounted side-by-side. Sailun "G" Made in China Good reports
GoodYear "G" Made in USA, Since 07 a trouble free tire.
I had enough confidence in the GY "G" and "H" tires I have ran thousands of miles on that I don't feel the need for a TPMS.
If I ever have a non road hazard problem GY WILL buy a new tire and pay for damages.
I choose GY on my RV's and Michelin on my TV's.
Thanks Cummins.... Looks like Goodyear is the ticket.
In addition I'm not a fan of tires made in china even if they have a good reputation.- Cummins12V98Explorer IIISailun "G" Made in China Good reports
