Tire problems in Texarkana area . outside wear issues

Have had four of the rounded looking tire and all four times was tread separation. Also had the axle alignment issues and we took care of that at a truck/trailer alignment shop for $150 per axle.

I bet you a dollar to a doughnut it is just a plain ole tread separation.

Take it to a tire shop and ask.

I been there and done that.

Be careful about immediately jumping into the ozone layer.

He said outside areas not area. So I assume both inside and outside edge, which would indicate low inflation or ply separations on both edges.

I guess we need some clarification from the OP. I read his post to indicate that ONE tire is worn on the OUTSIDE edge only (i.e., the inside edge and tread look OK). If that's not the case, then we're back to square 1.

If tire has the tread wear on the outside edges, both edges with good tread in the middle, which is what your post says, then that tire was run with low air pressure.

I had the same thing happen to my tires,right side only. I had one replaced in Butte MT at Wallins up in the old part of town. This fellow said that the right side will always wear faster than the left because of the road camber,more weight on the curb side than the drivers side. As the trailer travels down the road it is not running level,always about 2inches or more lower on the right side because of the way the roads are made. He also said that on heavy trailers sometimes this will cause the belts to shift causing a rounded look.
Now, I'm not a tire guy,but this seemed reasonable to me. He also said to rotate the tires side to side every few years depending on the wear. I replaced mine and have had no further problems.

Most will say it is a bent axle or a bent spindle. HOWEVER, from experience, I had the same thing happen to me on a long trip. I put the spare on and brought a new tire as soon as I could. About 4 thousand miles later the spare tire was wearing perfect and was still good 2 years later.
Sometimes it is the tire!!! Just saying.....

The passenger side wheels on RV's are more likely to hit curbs and obstructions than the drivers side. When the wheel or tire smacks a curb while turning right, the spindle can be bent, and it doesn't take a much to bend a spindle.

Once the spindle is bent, the tire is mis-aligned, and then you get tire wear like you describe.

When you take it in to have it checked, also have the shop check the hangers, bushing and bolts for wear and tear. Might be a good time to have wet bolts and bronze bushing installed.

I agree with possible bent axle or possibly loose bolt allowing axle to slip. Best have it looked at or you may wear out more than one tire before you get home.
