Just had our third blowout in three trips with our 5er. The tires range from 1 1/2 years old to 10 months old. Two happened this summer in 100+ degree weather. Yesterday's happened in cool weather. Trailer is not overloaded. Tires are ALWAYS inflated to 80 lbs. and I tow at not more than 60 mph. Blowouts have occurred in all but one wheel location. No unusual tread wear on tires.Anyone else having issues with these tires? Thinking of Maxxis tires next. Thoughts????

For sure you need to rid yourself of the "Blow Master" tires. Maxxis currently makes the best ST tire IMO. You didn't give any info on your trailer but LT tires may be an option depending on the size and wheel/tire space available.

I have had no issues with Tow Master tires but will likely go with Maxxis next time. Tow Master tires seem to be holding up better than the OEM GYM's that were on the coach new. Had rotting valve stems and deep sidewall cracks in two tires within two years. Lots of tread left, but the GYM's were history.

Had my first blowout with 2 yr old Towmaster's LRE (15" rims). Took out my fender skirt but didn't do too much damage otherwise. Replaced all 4 with the same as it was the only tire available. Funny thing is, I picked a remaining tire to use as a spare and it popped just sitting along side my house.Had 2 Maxxis LRE's with sidewall separation issues (within miles of each other) and they were also around the two year old mark. Discount replaced all 4 under warranty (remaining 2 were looking bad).I have been weighed and know I'm only putting about 1975 lbs on each tire. I also run a PressurePro and keep the tires inflated to max pressure. Had my axle alignment checked and they were fine.Switched to LT's and keeping my fingers crossed.Good luck,

ST tires are highway certified. Testing procedures must comply with that certification. Do those procedures have to be as stringent as tires designed for the automotive industry? NO! Why? Their operating parameters are not as demanding.

If their operating parameters are not as demanding, why do we read about all the failures. Please don't blame it on the users, as the same people change tire types and no longer have problems.

Additionally with two closely place axles that can be subjected to tight turns they are subjected to more demanding conditions at times. A car or pickup can not do that!
