Can you please explain why the M8008ST beside being built heavy gets better ratings for the users than the bunch of 35 pounds. In the other tire thread about the ST Maxmiler getting good reports, we have yet again an ST tire that is built heavier like the M800ST Maxxis, yet you continue to dismiss more robust ST offerings.

When doing trend analysis one must take into account the equality of the comparisons.
The Maxxis M8008 is seldom used by any high volume RV Trailer manufacturers. I would venture to say their M8009 bias tires are used as OE as much or more often. Therefore the numbers for any type of analysis must be skewed.
Many of the champions of the Maxxis brand ST tires may have added a load range with the Maxxis replacemednts. Skewed again.
A great number of OE ST tires are already at risk from the manufacturer because of fitment practices that place them very close to their maximum load capacity, all the time.
Numerous first time RV trailer owners never heard of 65 MPH speed indexed tires. What speed do you think they travel at on those interstate highways with speed limits of 70-75 MPH? Lots of RVers travel within some kind of time constraints and will speed when they think it’s necessary.
Maxxis tires do not have the same feedback as other ST tires that are widely used as OE tires by large volume RV manufacturers.
