LT tires are fine IF they will meet the capacity needed for the RV used on. Many of the newer/bigger/heavier 5ers are TOO heavy for LT tires. BUT by no means put on Chinese junk STs. If the LTs won't work there is the GY G614 "G" rated tire that is a direct replacement for a majority of the ST tires. Plus there are several Offshore "G" rated tires that seem to be holding their own. If you really want to put 99% (nothing is 100% sure, except death and taxes) of your tires problems behind you, upgrade to 17.5" wheels and "H" rated tires.
