I was a di-hard Michelin customer for as long as I can remember but not anymore. I purchased six Michelin LT235-80R17 #01569 load range e
tires for my truck and within 6 months they started to dry-rot, as the company who installed them went belly-up I had to deal directly with michelin who after having their shop do an inspection on the tires they said they would only cover 30% of the replacement cost as I had used up 70% of the tread (even though I had only put on 28.000KLM's on them)and after several weeks of fighting them they reluctantly decided to cover 70% of my cost on replacement tires. I was in the tire shop's crowded waiting room when the installer asked me if I wanted the Michelin name on the outside of the tire and I said "Absolutely I do so when these tires start going to pot it'll be easy for everybody to see who made them" When it's time to get new tires I'll be going Goodyear like I did on my fiver!
