You have written to me in the past and said that my 99 Dodge 2500 4/2 diesel is not up to carrying or hauling anything safely over 9500 lbs. I have been having a hard time trying to find a good used 5th wheel in the size of 27 ft to 32 ft that my old truck will handle.
I know or think that Alpenlite's units are out or too heavy. So I been looking at Northwood/ Arctic Fox. Seem to be too heavy also for most models if not all. It doesn't have to be a Dream Suit unit or Teton, but I would like just a good used unit that isn't a Geo-Metro quality,
That is why I been considering a one ton or 3500 dually.
I am just a laborer/ electrician all my life and I have nightmares of think about spending $80,000 for a new or used truck and 5th wheel that is within 10 years old.
My wife says; now that I am close to retiring, what have I been working for during the past 40 years in the rain, cold and heat all my life for. And to top it off with; how do you store your RV? Without a shed weather here in Oregon tears them up fast. I can see $100,000 plus being spend real fast.
