We took off the inner plastic piece to look into the ceiling. There is wood frame on 3 sides and particle board on the 4th side. In the particle board, there is a hole a little larger than a golf ball and wires were right there. Pulled the wires out (one blue, one white), I believe they go to the lights on either side of the vent (there was no way without a mirror or doing a little demo that we could tell for sure as the hole was looking the wrong direction but really don't know of anything else on that end of the trailer that they could go to). To install fan, we will have to splice into wires. I guess I was hoping to find wires just sitting there capped off and waiting to be used but that wasn't the case. Regardless, this can and most likely will be done. Looked on Amazon and found the fan $68 less than Camping World...that is a huge savings! I have never shopped Amazon before but from what I read here, looks as if many of you do with great success. My only dilemma now is that this is the only weekend we have available to install before next camping trip...I can spend extra (a lot extra) and go purchase or I can order and wait for arrival and then wait till next month to install. Hmm...$68 is a a lot of savings. I am rambling now, just wishing I would have had this brilliant idea before now so I could have ordered and had delivered already :)
